Databases

The Australian Tropical Herbarium collection is fully databased and can be queried online at http://www.anbg.gov.au/cgi-bin/athis. Basic searches can be conducted without a password but certain fields are password protected and will not appear. Guidelines for requesting complete data can be found at http://www.ath.org.au/JCUPRD_042065.html. The different collection databases (QRS and MBA) are being amalgamated into a single database hosted by the Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research, in Canberra. Once this process is completed database records will be able to be queried online through a password protected web query portal and through Australia’s Virtual Herbarium.
